Sam is a Lead Power System Engineer at ZGlobal with a focus on interconnection studies, power flow and local capacity studies. Sam conducts highly complex engineering studies of power systems within WECC, with a focus on California.
Sam has assisted in several projects for ZGlobal and other clients, with a focus on processes and procedures to interconnect to the California grid. As such, Sam focuses on power flow studies, steady state analysis, and dynamic analysis, as well as preparing stability data models to meet CAISO and other California utility study requirements. His studies also include assessing the impact of interconnection projects on the grid. In addition, Sam has been involved in local capacity studies to study the deficiencies in several areas around California.
Education
Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Lebanese International University in Beirut and is currently in his last semester to receive a Master of Science degree from Sacramento State University in the same field.
