Catherine Young

Business Development & Operations Manager

Catherine Young is a Business Development & Operations Manager who brings 20 years of experience in the energy industry in customer centric roles. Catherine started her energy market career at the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) in 1997, and brings extensive knowledge of the CAISO energy markets, billing and settlements processes and the CAISO tariff. During her time as an Account Manager she worked closely with generation owners/operators, power marketers, transmission owners and scheduling coordinators to facilitate their participation in the energy markets through training, research, and analysis, problem-solving, issue resolution and project coordination. 
 
Catherine went on to manage the CAISO corporate website, customer portal and Flex Alerts and used her extensive client knowledge to enhance CAISO’s information availability, understandability, and ease of access. 
 
At ZGlobal, Catherine contributes to the operations and consultancy business services to enhance our current offerings, assist in contract management, and work closely with operational clients to meet their specific system needs.

Catherine earned her Masters of Business Administration from Sacramento State University, Sacramento, California and a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Strategic Management.
